A delegation of members of Dominican Agribusiness Board (JAD) made an experiential training trip to Almeria, Spainin order to know the model of production sustainable agricultural used in that region.
The delegation was made up of 14 members of the JADdedicated to the production under controlled environment or greenhouses and to the export and commercialization of different agricultural products, as well as students of the International Master in Online Agribusiness Management, taught by the International School of AgriManagement (ISAM) of Spain.
Through a statement it is indicated that, for four days, the participants had the opportunity to learn about the fundamental pillars that support the agricultural model of the city of Almeriabased on innovation, sustainability and productive efficiency.
The program included visits to companies from the entire value chain, marketers, cooperatives, research centers and the rest of the auxiliary industry; seeds, digital transformation and greenhouse manufacturing, accompanied by technical talks.
Likewise, training by ISAM professors on sustainability, markets, certifications, greenhouse manufacturing, model Almerialeadership and change management.
As an added value, the members interacted in different networking activities with local businessmen and students from different promotions of the ISAM training programs.
This activity was organized by the JAD and the International School of AgriManagement (ISAM), as part of the collaboration agreement signed last year between both entities.
This technical tour is part of the training program promoted by the Dominican Agribusiness Boardaimed at preparing and qualifying national producers, in the technological advances of Agriculture.
Among the companies in the supply chain of the agricultural sector visited are: Alhondiga La Unión, Koppert, Rijk Zwaan, Vicasol, Clisol, Biorizon Biotech, Unica Group, Tecnova, Kimitec, Vicasol, Clisol, Azud or Novagric among others. All of them referents at national and international level.
