Senator Blanca Rodríguez, in the exercise of the presidency of that chamber, was the one who took the commitment of style, thus being invested as senator of the Republic.
The Senate bars were filled with leaders and supporters of space 600 (group of lists that drive Melazzi to the intention), who moved to Montevideo in the early morning. Once the session was completed, they were able to enjoy a guided tour of the Parliament and after the historic house of the Colorado Party.
During the half hour after Melazzi highlighted how special it is to occupy that place by the mandate of the citizens and bring to that enclosure the voice of those who have less, the importance of democratic institutions and the independence of powers. Nor did he pass that he is in the race towards May 11 to be the next mayor of Soriano, to “give a change of helm to an apartment that needs more modern public policies, closely.”
He thanked the effort made by those who accompanied in the bars and his family which is often relegated by public activity, also had words of thanks for Senator Robert Silva and the party.
In the afternoon Melazzi presented the bill so that the Ministry of Interior counts on each mobile or emergency unit with an autonomous external defibrillator (DEA). This will allow to meet a need that the Police live daily, where the patrolman generally reaches an accident or areas of difficult access and does not have the necessary tools to provide assistance, which can often mean the difference between life and death. This project had already presented it in the previous legislature, it is now expected that in the present it will be approved and collaborate in the reduction of mortality.
Reports orders for the river and the coast
He presented three reports of reports, two to the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP), while the remaining was for the Ministry of Tourism.
The MTOP asks for a report on the Uruguay river coast in Soriano, in relation to investments of possible ports, requests for public or fiscal poplars and the interest or convenience of the transfer zone known as Punta del Arenal. The second, related to the navigability studies of the San Salvador and Río Negro rivers, their critical points and the corresponding bald.
Tourism proposes a request for information on the policies and actions carried out by the Ministry for the Tourism Development of the River Courses of the Uruguay, San Salvador and Río Negro rivers in Soriano.
After the session, Melazzi expressed that it was “an intense day, loaded with emotions and legislative work, the effort and commitment is great, they are sure that every time I have to assume the days will be that moves. On each occasion we will continue to move the concerns and needs of our people. Now to resume the campaign, several weeks remain, different leaders and collective are still close, we trust to be surprised on May 11”.
