A Mega Prosecutor’s Office was created with national competence specializing in crimes that threaten the sexual integrity of children and adolescents, announced this Wednesday the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab.
“I want to give the scoop today that we have created the Mega Prosecutor’s Office with Specialized National Competence in crimes that threaten the Sexual Integrity of Boys, Girls and Adolescents,” he stressed during a balance carried out of the programs institutionalized by the MP.
In this regard, he stressed that this Mega Prosecutor’s Office seeks to “increase the ability of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to attention, protection and defense of the Boys, Girls and Adolescents who are victims of these atrocious crimes”.

Likewise, he pointed out that “to date, 821 activities have been carried out throughout the national territory, with the participation of public and private educational centers. They provided training and awareness to 37,209 students, teachers, parents and representatives.
Regarding the cases prosecuted, the Prosecutor stated that “there are 2,317 accused, 2,915 accused and 1,355 convicted of these crimes.”

The attorney general, Tarek William Saab, recalled the commitment of the Public ministry to always attend to and defend the rights of the most needy and weakest.
“The Venezuelan State tends to defend the most vulnerable and in this sense as a community they can count on the Public Ministry that will always be there to defend the weakest and most needy. We will always continue to fight and move forward setting an example for Latin America,” she said.
