The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) approved a new external debt operation with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for US$100 million, destined to finance the “Entrepreneurial Women Financing Program in Peru”.
In accordance with Supreme Decree 300-2022-EF, the cancellation of this debt is through semi-annual, consecutive and, if possible, equal installments. The first payment will be made on February 15, 2029 and the last on February 15, 2047.

“The aforementioned external debt is subject to a credit commission on the undisbursed balance of the loan, which is established periodically, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the IDB policy, without exceeding 0.75% per year,” reads the rule.
It should be noted that the Financing Program for Women Entrepreneurs in Peru seeks to contribute to closing the gender gap in the business segment and benefit more than 8,000 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
