The words of welcome were in charge of the honorable deputy Joan Manuel Guevara Rodríguez de Panama, president of the Foreign Relations Commission and a member of the Parorelarica Council, and of his excellence Patricia Atkinson, Ambassador of Canada in Panama.
The meeting had two panels, the first one addressed: “Parliament experience open in Latin America”, which was moderated by Olga de Obaldía, executive director of the Foundation for the Development of Citizen Freedom, Panamanian Chapter of International Transparency and in which Senator Javier Macaya (Chile), president of the Open Parliament Network of Parlamericas and Deputy Andrea Villagrán (Guatemala), first vice president by Central America of the Parliamentary Network for Parliamentary Network for the gender equality of Parlamericas.
In the second panel the issue was developed: “Advances and opportunities for legislative openness in Panama”, it was moderated by Leah of Boersner, vice president and co -founder, of the Civic Espacio Foundation and participated: Alicia del Águila, Panama Program Manager , International idea, HD Ariel Vallarino (Panama), the HD Walkiria Chandler (Panama), the HD José Pérez Barboni (Panama) and the HD Roberto Zúñiga (Panama). At the end of this meeting Senator Derlis Maidana (Paraguay), a member of the Special Commission of Open Parliament provided the closing comments.
