Meeting of the Government with the political parties and the business sector will be at 3:00 in the afternoon

The meeting scheduled for this Monday at the National Palace with representatives of political parties, business, trade unions and other sectors of national life, with whom the Government is consulting a solution to the crisis in Haiti, will begin at 3:00 a.m. the afternoon.

The meeting will be headed by the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza.

This would be the second meeting with the political parties, business sector, union and others. In the first, held last week, headed by President Luis Abinader, it was agreed that the representatives of these organizations would present today a proposal on the additional measures that the Government must take to face the consequences in the national territory of the conflict in the neighboring country.

It was also unanimously decided to present suggestions on how to carry out actions, especially to draw the attention of the international community to the Haitian issue.

Haiti has had a worsening of its political situation for more than a year that worsened even more with the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, on July 7 of this year, for whose crime there are more than twenty detainees, most of them Colombian mercenaries.

The meeting is scheduled to take place in the Green Room of the National Palace.
