The meeting between the ministerial secretariats of the Energy and Labor portfolios and the mobilized workers of the National Oil Company (ENAP), closed without an agreement, so the negotiations continue this Saturday.
ENAP announced the stoppage of 100% of its logistics operations and the distribution of fuel due to a strike – which began on Monday – of contract workers associated with the National Federation of Subcontracted Workers (Fenatrasub).

As reported by Sandra Quintana, Seremi of Labor and Social Welfare of the Biobío Region, there are still some points to be defined between the workers and the fuel company, so there will be a new meeting.
The government official explained that all efforts are being made so that the negotiation ends as soon as possible and described as “unfortunate” the communiqués issued by ENAP, where they indicated that the workers would return to their tasks, which was finally denied.
Daniela Espinoza, Seremi of Energy of the region, confirmed for her part that the 180 mobilized workers have not resumed their functions, and that the BioBío Refinery plant and the San Vicente Maritime Terminal continue to have their access blocked.
It is worth mentioning that this situation triggered that throughout the day, gas stations in the southern part of the country were full due to the eventual shortage.
ENAP does not participate in these negotiations and has insisted that the relations of subcontracted workers are regulated by the framework agreement signed last year. An agreement that the mobilized workers accuse of being flawed.
