In a new edition of the Podcast sequence Getting to know your candidate Diario Correo presented Elsie Chupurgo Fernández, candidate for the Chamber of Deputies for the Junín region with number 3, representing the political party A Different Path.
During the interview, the applicant indicated that she is a native of La Merced and that she knows closely the reality of the Central Jungle and Huancayo, areas where she has lived and carried out family and academic activities. He indicated that his decision to run responds to his rejection of traditional politics and his support for a political project focused on the frontal fight against corruption.
Chupurgo stated that A Different Path It is a party of northern origin and, in the case of the Junín region, she is the only candidate who lives in the area, while the other candidates for this jurisdiction come mainly from the north of the country. He explained that this formation responds to a party strategy based on trust and continuity of the political project.
Among his main proposals he mentioned the implementation of school cafeterias to combat childhood anemia, preventive health campaigns, reforestation initiatives in coca-growing areas and the strengthening of social work from Congress. Likewise, he assured that his campaign is financed autonomously, without support from businessmen.
