Hoy Paraguay

Medvedev, quarterfinalist of the tournament in 2021, passed over the young Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic (31st) without ever giving up his serve, winning the victory with a firm 6-2, 6-4, 6-2.

“It was hard to see that everyone wondered how it was possible to be world number 2 without getting past the first round here,” he said, alluding to the fact that before last year’s edition he had not won a match at the French Open.

Tsitsipas, for his part, was finally able to overcome a match with solvency, after his previous presentations in which he was pushed to the maximum against the Italian Musetti (he came back from two sets down) and against the Czech Kolar, from the previous classification (four sets ).

Today, the Swedish Mikael Ymer (95th) was no match for the 23-year-old Greek, who won 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 in just an hour and a half.

The entrance Medvedev and Tsitsipas advance firmly at Roland Garros was first published in diary TODAY.
