Meduca Student Complementary Food Program will continue for the 2023 school year

The nutritionist Alisson Centeno from the national directorate of school nutrition and health of the Ministry of Education (MEDUCA) gave details about the Student Complementary Food program carried out by this institution, which will continue from the first day of the school year in March 2023.

“In the year 2022, a biannual tender was made so that the children have their school snack from the first day of the school year corresponding to the year 2023, which consists of a glass of fortified semi-skimmed milk, the nutritional cookie and the nutritionally enriched cream, in addition to From this, grains such as rice and beans will be delivered to those educational centers that belong to the 300 most vulnerable areas according to the beehive plan and this will be for the school canteen.

In addition, by the year 2023 the “Study without Hunger” program will continue, which is estimated to feed 500 schools with more than 100,000 beneficiary children and will consist of a full healthy lunch plate.

These Meduca programs for the year 2023 will have an investment of more than 26 million dollars, I also stress that the school year will begin on March 6, 2023.
