The Ministry of Education (Meduca), through the General Directorate of Education, carried out the second transfer of 89 teachers in the early hours of this March 2, to areas of difficult access in the province of Darién and the Emberá Wounaan region, from the Gran Terminal de Transporte de Albrook, in the capital city, for the start of face-to-face classes on March 7.
After participating in induction sessions in the capital city and the interior of the country, and according to the distribution of their assignments, 34 of these educators travel by land to Puerto Quimba, 23 to Lajas Blancas, 29 to Yaviza and three of them to Peñita. . Some of these education workers will have to follow their movement by river or sea.
On February 19, the Meduca transported 1,753 teachers who will teach face-to-face classes in schools in areas of difficult access, in the provinces of Bocas del Toro and Darién, from March 7. Thus, educators, the educational community and this ministry continue efforts for a safe start, without setbacks and in compliance with biosecurity measures. Approximately 48,000 teachers are prepared to start the 2022 school year.
