The Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) intervened on National Movement of Public and Private Health Users by “statutory apartments”, reported MVD Noticias and confirmed The Observer after accessing decree 1091/022 of the Ministry that determined the intervention.
The resolution implies the displacement of its authorities for a term of up to six months. The MEC appointed Manuel Garate as comptroller, and the Movement must pay his fees ($35,000) while he is in office.
The portfolio’s decision came after a group of users associated with the group denounced “several facts that, in their opinion, constituted statutory deviations by the entity’s authorities.”
The decree highlights that the authorities incurred in the following irregularities: “Improper integration of the commissions, indiscriminate use of the entity’s funds, lack of a tax commission report in relation to balances, non-compliance with the rules regarding the election of authorities “, among others.
The National Directorate of Constitutional and Legal Affairs of the Ministry concluded that the conditions were not met “for the entity to find by itself the way to redirect its operation” in accordance with its statutes, states the decree.
The document clarifies that this direction “tried to generate an instance of dialogue between the parties,” but was unsuccessful.
