Mayra wins silver and Brazil ends Judo Grand Slam with 4 medals

Mayra Aguiar won the second silver medal for Brazil in the Judo Grand Slam in Tbilisi (Georgia) this Sunday (5th). On the last day of competition, Mayra was surpassed in the gold dispute in the 75 kilos category by the German Anna-Maria Wagner, current world champion. With today’s podium (5), Brazil won four medals, all won by women. Before reaching the final, Mayra Aguiar had two consecutive victories by ippon: first she beat the host Tchanturia and in the next fight, the semifinal, she beat French Audrey Tcheumeo. In the gold decision, Mayra took a waza-ari of the German Anna-Maria Wagner and took the runner-up.
