The Mayor of Santo Domingo East reported yesterday Wednesday that will rent trucks temporarily to deal with the issue of trash in the sectors of constituency 1, which is under the administration of a private company.
Jhonatan Liriano, spokesman for the institution, explained that the accumulation of solid waste in the aforementioned administrative division is due to the increase in the generation of trash which always happens at the end of the year and the beginning of the new one.
“The cluster of trash December and New Years, the company Dankot it has not been able to attend to it properly and that has generated a situation in which we have had to move trucks from one area to another to mitigate the problem,” he explained.
Liriano reported that the Mayor of Santo Domingo East works to cover the operational limitations of the service contractor company that covers the sectors of Villa Duarte, Los Mameyes, Isabelita, Los Tres Ojos, Ozama expansion, Alma Rosa, Villa Faro, Los Trinitarios, among others.
“To the population that understands the situation… that the city council is aware of the situation and in the coming weeks the population will have the service they demand and deserve. In the meantime, let’s avoid launching the trash to public roads and sensitive places”, called the spokesman.
