From 6:00 p.m. this Friday the Mayor’s Office of Santa Cruz de la Sierra closed the streets leading to Plaza 24 de Septiembre so that the population can visit the Christmas decorations and enjoy the activities that are scheduled for the end of the year.
Sarah Mansilla, municipal secretary of Culture and Tourism, explained that a block around the main square was closed to avoid vehicular traffic because For the end of year festivities there is a large influx of people in downtown Santa Cruz.
He explained that every day in December, and probably the first week of January 2025, the Entrance streets to Plaza 24 de Septiembre will remain closed. He added that, this Saturday, December 14, a folklore festival is planned in front of the House of Culture.
Mansilla said that this determination is made with the purpose of ensuring the safety of the neighbors who arrive for the Christmas walk and that can enjoy the activities in peace scheduled at the end of the year.
