The Municipal Treasury announces the application of a 10% discount on the total amount of the annual amount of municipal taxes on economic activity, mobile and fixed advertising in the District
from Panama. This benefit will be available to taxpayers starting next Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The measure will benefit those who make their annual tax payment between January 1 and 31, 2025. This incentive seeks to alleviate the tax burden of businesses in the Capital District. To receive this benefit, taxpayers must be safe and sound in any obligation with the Municipality of Panama (vehicles, fines, surcharges, etc.).
To apply for the discount, it is necessary to present the Annual Affidavit of Gross Income, since the amount of the annual tax will be calculated based on this information. Additional details must be provided in the Annual Affidavit of Gross Income, such as the name, identification number and qualification number of the Certified Public Accountant, who endorses the declaration, in accordance with
law 280 of 2021.
Taxpayers can request their Discounted Annuity Settlement on the ground floor of the Hatillo Building, Expenditure Department, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm They can also go to the Taxpayer Service Centers of the Municipality of Panama, call at 524-8900 or write to the email: [email protected].
In addition, they have the option of entering the portal alcaldíadigital.gob.pa to generate their
online settlement.
The discount is protected under paragraph 3 of article 7 of Municipal Agreement 40 of 2011, amended by Municipal Agreement 21 of January 28, 2014.
