As planned, on Tuesday the mayors who were elected received their credentials from the National Electoral Council (CNE), to exercise their functions in the period from 2025 to 2029.
In that sense, the reelected mayor of the Caracas municipality of Baruta, Darwin González, received his credentials, after obtaining a triumph with 56.2% of the votes, equivalent to 20,626 votes.
During his speech, González made a very special call to all opposition parties in the country: «They see what was done possible here in Baruta, absolute unit. That today we have marked a milestone in this municipality, ”he said.
The mayor said he will listen to all sectors, including those who did not support him with his vote, while highlighting the importance of dialogue.

Proclaimed mayor of the capital municipality of Cojedes
In an act held on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Regional Electoral Office, San Carlos, Alexander Mireles received the credentials that proclaims him as the reelected mayor of the capital municipality of Cojedes.
During the act, he thanked all the Sancarleños for the confidence granted to continue the construction of the best San Carlos, along with 7 councilors of the Vamos Cojedes and alliances team.
“In Cojedes and San Carlos, citizens participated massively in the elections, which made us the only capital of the country that belongs to a factor other than the national government, but we are going to look for all the alternatives to work together with the Executive Power,” said the local president.


Proclaimed mane as mayor of El Hatillo


The Electoral Municipal Board of the Municipality El Hatillo, in Miranda state, proclaimed – the afternoon of Tuesday – the lawyer Fernando Melena as the new mayor of this jurisdiction of the Miranda State.
After the sworn, hair promised an “open doors” management for the next four years, while stressed that it will continue with the El Hatillo Possible project.
“Our residents of El Hatillo spoke, they went to vote and participated because they know that we are not an improvised project, they know that we have worked for their quality; that’s why we are here today, this mayor and these councilors who will continue working as we have done in these eight years: we promised, we fulfill and go for more,” he said.
“We are going to continue giving security to the residents of the municipality, we will continue to recover the environment, we will continue to dignify each of the hatillanos,” he said.
