Santo Domingo, (EFE).- Santo Domingo will host from November 6 to 8 the XXIX Meeting of Mayors of Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean and the LIII Session of the Executive Committee of the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities (UCCI)), it was reported on Tuesday.
In a statement, the Santo Domingo City Council explained that the mayors or their representatives will talk about the progress of their cities in terms of walkability, encouragement of the orange economy (model based on activities in which creativity is the main actor of development) and sustainable approach to informal trade.

The meeting of mayors will be held under the slogan “Sustainable development- Quality of life and opportunities for all”, a theme chosen after “having taken into account the common interests between cities that have been identified in the meetings of UCCI coordinators since year 2021″.
The UCCI promotes these regional meetings in order to encourage the development of the territories and their population.
