“We have called a technical meeting for all the executives of Emacruz, the manager (Andrea Hoyos), the technical environmental directors and the legal director to be able to carry out an analysis, an evaluation of the draft that It has already finished, of what the transition process will be during these eight months until a new private operator comes along, as well (will be analyzed) the tender for the industrialization and processing of garbage that is part of the proposals we have for Santa Cruz,” Fernández explained.

He added that work is being done to meet the established deadlines, before the Vega-Solvi contract expires on April 25. Then the selection of the final private operator will begin to be awarded the urban sanitation contract and the garbage industrializer.
Tomorrow they will meet to approve the technical, financial and legal report as well as the environmental report. He added that after the meeting, they will inform the Municipal Council about the transition process of garbage collection.
In this regard, the manager of Emacruz Andrea Hoyos, through a statement from the institution, highlighted the coordination with Mayor Jhonny Fernández. “In the next few days we will announce the transition plan, in addition to the specifications for the next tender for the Urban Cleaning Service and the Garbage Treatment Plan for Final Disposal”, he stressed.
