Santo Domingo, RD- The mayor of Santo Domingo Norte (SDN), Carlos Guzmán, delivered a completely renovated La Lotería park, with which there are 10 parks left in operation in the municipality, for the healthy and safe entertainment of the community.
Guzmán expressed that the new park located in the La Lotería sector of Sabana Perdida, is the tenth that has been reopened for the benefit of all people, mainly boys and girls, who did not have a space for entertainment or relaxation.
“The Lottery had been waiting a long time for this to come. It is not a magic wand. It is that we have combined interest, motivation, passion and execution” declared the mayor of SDN, when calling on the community to take care of the park.
Carlos Guzmán added that they are working on the renovation of other parks, fulfilling their faithful commitment to continue delivering works of great interest to the neighborhoods, motivating sports, outdoor exercises and entertainment for the little ones.
In this sense, the president of the Neighborhood Council of the Los Unidos Urbanization, Domingo Blanco, highlighted the management of the Mayor’s Office of Santo Domingo Norte (ASDN), referring that various works of great impact are being carried out in the demarcation of Santo Domingo North.
The reconstruction of the La Loteria park was carried out with a total cost of RD$ 570,000.00 with which sidewalks, planters, metal benches, electricity with general lighting, playground and general painting were made.
The reopening ceremony was attended by dozens of children from different neighborhoods, who enjoyed sweets, popcorn, donuts, soft drinks, popsicles, games, children’s music and clowns. In addition, leaders of the sector, councilors and collaborators of the Mayor’s Office attended.
La Lotería park joins a list of recreational structures rehabilitated by the current municipal management, such as: Máximo Gómez, Francisco del Rosario Sánchez, Los Palmares, Brisas de los Palmares and Buena Vista I and II parks, Los Kakaitos, Juan Pablo Duarte and Villa Carmela.
