The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, inaugurated, this Friday (3), the new secretaries and municipal leaders. In a ceremony at the City Palace, in Botafogo, in the south zone of the city, Paes emphasized that the new team is in a position to advance even further in the city’s public policies.
“I made a point of holding this ceremony to say that here is a team of people who manage public affairs and have goals. But, above all, there are people who believe in politics as a way to transform society for the better. Here, everyone doesn’t think the same and it’s okay to think differently. What makes us conduct the city’s directions in an adequate way, listening to everyone, is exactly this mixture”, said Paes.
Back in government, now as Secretary of the Civil House, Eduardo Cavaliere said that it is an honor to take care of the planning and goals of the municipal government. Before the new folder, he was the holder of the Environment and Climate Secretariat.
“The arrival of these new qualified staff, from the political parties that are part of our alliance, strengthens the government’s capacity to deliver good public policies for the population of Rio de Janeiro. It is a new moment in municipal management, but with the face of continuity of a government that has command and direction”, said Cavaliere.
