The mayor of Punta del Este, Javier Carballal, participated in the Great McDonald’s Day. He made hamburgers and sold them in support of organizations that work with children with cancer. Everything generated yesterday from the sale of Big Mac hamburgers will go to the Ronald McDonald’s House Association, which has houses in the Pereira Rossell Hospital and in the TacuarembĂł Hospital. Likewise, the Impulso Educational Center also benefits, which generates quality educational opportunities for children from Casavalle.
The hierarch said that he accompanied a noble cause together with councilmen of the Municipality. He assured that many children depend on the sale of hamburgers on this day.
Javier Carballal pointed out that the Municipality made a radical change in social material and this is one more action in that sense. He affirmed that he has a “counter” and therefore the activity he carried out is not alien to him, and that he links it with his vocation of service to the community.
