Lawrence.– The mayor of Lawrence, Massachusetts EU, Brian A. DePeñahas extended a cordial invitation to Councilor Rafael Díaz of the Fuerza del Pueblo party, of San Fco. de Macorís, RD, with the purpose of strengthening ties and exploring possible areas of collaboration between cities.
In a communication sent, Mayor DePeña highlighted Councilor Díaz’s outstanding career in public service and municipal management, describing his visit as an opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen dialogue between both communities.
“We are convinced that your visit will offer a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and explore possible areas of collaboration between our cities,” Mayor DePeña said in the letter.
The mayor also highlighted that the councilor’s visit will contribute to establishing an enriching agenda that enhances cooperation and mutual development, taking advantage of the experiences shared between Lawrence and San Fco. de Macorís.
This invitation is part of the Lawrence administration’s efforts to strengthen international relations and foster an active exchange of experiences with communities that share similar values and challenges.
The visit of Councilor Díaz, professor and member of the central leadership of Fuerza del Pueblo, is scheduled for 2:30 pm local time, on Thursday, October 10.
The municipal legislator will exhaust an intense agenda with political meetings in the cities of Boston, Lawrence and New York. He will also participate in a game of the major league finals between the Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, invited by player Johan Rojas and his family.
