Mayor of Bogotá reaches an agreement with taxi drivers on security

The Mayor’s Office of Bogotá and a sector of taxi drivers agreed on several security measures to counteract the insecurity that has been affecting them by criminal groups.

Ricardo Ruge, an official from the Government Secretary, explained that one of the issues agreed upon with this public transport sector union was that of hold a monthly follow-up meeting for all commitments and progress made between the parties.

We are going to make available a captain from the Metropolitan Police, to carry out special plans in the critical points of insecurity, which will be delivered to the authorities by the leaders of the taxi drivers,” said the official.
