The mayor of Aguadulce, Jorge Herrera, ordered the suspension of activities that generate crowding for 15 days.
Herrera explained that the measure will be applied during that period to reduce the number of positive cases of Covid-19 in that region of the country. The ban will be z from February 1 to 15.
He stated that, together with the corresponding authorities, they will monitor compliance with this prohibition and the application of the respective sanctions to those who incur in disregarding it.
“We are going to make the effort to close for at least 15 days, so that these cases go down and it gives the possibility that in 15 days they can open, because there are also many homes that depend on the workforce that works in these activities, added Herrera .
Regarding the carnivals in that region, he announced that they are suspended, since the lives of all Panamanians must be safeguarded.
