“A high goal was placed, I say, 10 million, because no political organization had achieved a thing of that nature; a goal raised to our leadership was placed, we had been eleven months, and together we have already been 90% of the goal,” said the leader from Zacatecas.
In addition, he considered that at the end of this 2025, Morena will exceed 10 million, since he commented that when there is confidence in a government, there is trust to join the party.
“They want their credentials to save them; they take you to credential to have belonged to the ‘legitimate government’. Yes I believe that the fact that there is a high affiliation in Zacatecas already national level, has to do with a response from which people want to belong to our movement,” said Luis María Alcade.
In this affiliation campaign, the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) also participated, as teachers of this organization were in the streets and in demonstrations headed by Morena, making records.
Since February, the Senator and Secretary General of the SNTE, Alfonso Cepeda Salas, commented that the union would contribute 5.5 million members to Morena among teachers and family members, and said it is the same number of votes they contributed in the last elections.
“We believe that we can contribute 5.5 million, not immediately, but in the time they give us to convince our classmates to join. (Thus) it happened in the last electoral process, that was the contribution made by the workers of education, convincing their families and their friends,” said the Morenista senator.
On that occasion, Cepeda Salas also mentioned that to carry out this work, they would have tablets to carry out affiliations to the political party.
Until August 2023, the party created by former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador had 2.3 million registered people according to data from the National Electoral Institute (INE).
In that same cut, the second party that had the most affiliates was the PRI with 1 million 411,889 and followed by the PRD with 999,249, a party that lost its record in the 2024 elections for not reaching 3% of the required vote.
