Mayor Matthei denounces new theft of plants from public roads in Providencia

The mayor of Providence, evelyn matthei, through his social networks denounced a new theft of plants from the squares of the commune. It is the second time that these events have happened, so the authority asked to respect the green areas.

The situation was recorded by a neighbor through a video in which a person is seen loading some plants that were installed on public roads in a truck.

“Please, do not steal our plants. I am outraged by these types of acts. That truck is not from the municipality nor is it part of our team,” the mayor wrote on her Twitter account.

It should be remembered that in January of this year, the mayor herself shared some photos that record the moment in which a woman took some flowers from a public space.

“This is not done. Neighbors inform us that there are people who steal plants. I ask you please not to remove the species from our squares, parks or gardens. They are there for a reason and they are to be enjoyed by the whole community. Please take care of them among all,” he wrote at the time.
