Within the framework of the International Economic Forum Latin America and the Caribbean 2025, Mayor Mayer Mizrachi
He highlighted the importance of innovation, public-private collaboration and optimistic vision against the current challenges of the region.
During his speech, Mizrachi emphasized the fundamental role of local authorities in social and political transformation, highlighting that mayors, governors and representatives are the ones who have direct contact with citizens and, therefore, a crucial responsibility in the execution of projects impact.
“Local authorities should not only speak, but to do. And we have stood out for achieving a lot in a very short time, working hand in hand with private companies, multilateral organizations and local and national governments in a single regional project, ”said Mizrachi.
In a global context where Latin America receives renewed attention, Mizrachi highlighted the strategic role of Panama as a reference point for the economic and political development of the region. With the beginning of a new administration in the greatest world power and its focus in the region, the mayor said that the current situation represents an unprecedented opportunity to strengthen alliances and foster joint growth.
“Where some see crisis, I see potential. Decades have passed since Latin America has taken so much attention, and it is our responsibility to convert this situation into an opportunity for sustainable and strategic development, ”he added.
Finally, Mizrachi thanked attendees and CAF for the creation of this space for dialogue and exchange of ideas.
