Maya Awards 2022 recognizes the social work and artists of Bolivia

The Maya 2022 Awards recognized this Friday the social work carried out by institutions in Bolivia. In the same way, they distinguished the best national artists.

The winners of the Maya Pueblo (social and humanitarian work) were: Pascuala Serrano Pinto (Dona Lita)/Fricarriel, as “Best Corporate Social Work”; Private University of Bolivia, “30 Years of Career”; Animal Huella Animal, as “Best Rescue Work”; Erasing Footprints, as the “Best Humanitarian Work in Health”; Yvaga Guazú Park, as the “Best Work in Defense of Wild Flora and Fauna”; English First, as “Best Educational Publication”; Plexus, “Technological Innovation in Health” and Hospital Agramont, “Award for Social Responsibility in Health”.

Matilde Casazola received the award “Lifetime Achievements”

Regarding the Maya Astro category (arts and culture), those recognized were: Matilde Casazola, “Achievements of a Lifetime”: Walter Gómez Méndez, “40 Years of Artistic Career and Gultural Management”; Sarita Mansilla, as the “Best Work of Cultural Management”; Quispe Sanjinés (Gunnart), as the “Best Gunnar Urban Artist”; Donato Espinoza, “40 Years of Musical Career”; Poker Group, “25 Years of Musical Career”; Ensemble Moxos, as the “Best Work of Cultural Preservation”; Natalia Páli, “Revelation Plastic Artist”; Verónica “Vero” Pérez, as the “Best Contemporary Bolivian Artist”; Yuri Mijail, “Bolivian Revelation Artist” and the Santa Cruz Youth Symphony Orchestra, “Cultural Development and Diffusion Award”.

At the gala for the twenty-sixth delivery of the award, which took place in Fexpocruz, they also awarded special prizes: Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs of Bolivia, “Best Work in Support of Women”; National Chamber of Commerce, “Best Work in Support of Bolivian Entrepreneurs” and Gloria Suárez de Limpias, “Cultural and Business Career Award”

The Maya Awards are the highest public honor awarded in Bolivia. They have been delivered since 1996. For the selection of the winners, business statistics published by specialized magazines, perception surveys carried out by consultants and universities, as well as the objective and reliable opinion of a Selection Committee, made up of professionals from sectoral institutions (Cadex, FEPSC , CAB, CEPB, CNC, Amcham Bolivia, advertising agencies, artist societies and specialized journalists).
