The massive vaccination centers against the coronavirus that have operated in Córdoba since the beginning of the immunization campaign in December 2020, are on their last day of activity this Thursday, while the population will be able to apply their doses in the Network of Pharmacies extended in the Province.
The local Ministry of Health reported that As of Friday, April 1, vaccination against Covid-19 will continue in the nearly 800 vaccination centers in the provincial territory, under the decentralization strategy, but mass centers will no longer be available.
This decision was made with the population in mind returning to the usual inoculation spaces, for which It was decided to close the massive centers of the Orfeo Superdomo Stadium, the Argentina Pavilion in Ciudad Universitaria and the Convention Center, all in the provincial capital.
In the vaccination network, the different doses available in the province will be applied to people who need to start or complete schemes, according to the criteria of the Covid-19 Vaccination Plan.
The Pharmacy Network began its operation last January for vaccination against the coronavirus, places where the authorities highlighted that 123,500 doses were placed, of which 80% correspond to reinforcements.
In addition, 73.6% are inoculations to people between 18 and 59 years old, while 12.3% are to children and adolescents between 3 and 17 years old.
Susana Hernández, director of Pharmacy of the health portfolio, highlighted that “the work that has been carried out with pharmaceutical professionals through the pharmacy network is very important, it allowed the successful decentralization of vaccination in the Capital and in inside”.
“The possibility of vaccination is expanded, since pharmacies are distributed in different neighborhoods and localities, shortening distances and transfers. In addition, the population is used to interacting with the pharmacist, this favors advice and support from health professionals,” added the official.
