Massive LGBTIQ+ weddings that were to take place this Saturday are suspended

Angel Valdes | June 30, 2023

In a statement, the organization Panama Pride reported that due to the repeated hate messages and even threats, they have been seen to suspend the activity called the First Egalitarian and Massive Symbolic Wedding.

“The attacks and threats show that Panamanian society is mostly homophobic and that to reaffirm their harmful practices they use hate speech, misinformation, slander and insult,” the statement said.

The march that was scheduled will be held this Saturday, July 1, from 2:00 p.m. in the parking lots of the Cinta Costera, on Calle 13, Casco Antiguo.
