Massive events in outdoor spaces have no capacity limits as of this Tuesday as ordered by the Ministry of Health of the Nation before the advance of vaccination coverage, the stability of cases in a low number and the decrease of hospitalizations and deaths for more than 23 consecutive weeks.

The measure will be in force as of this Tuesday and was formalized by Administrative Decision number 1128/2021, the health portfolio reported.

Regarding the advancement of vaccination, 91.6% of those over 18 years of age are already covered with at least one dose and 60% of the total population with the complete scheme.

The portfolio stressed that people over 18 years of age who attend these outdoor events must have at least one dose of vaccine applied, at least, 14 days in advance before the event.

In addition, “the jurisdictions may establish additional, temporary and focused sanitary measures, in response to epidemiological and sanitary conditions, in order to contain infections or to reduce the risk of transmission,” the Ministry explained.

The portfolio makes the exception that the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers may suspend or modify the norms provided in accordance with the evaluation of the epidemiological and sanitary risk, after the intervention of the national sanitary authority.
