Massive blockade of almost two million mobility passes causes a drop in the number of laggards nationwide

A few weeks ago, the Ministry of Health announced that on Wednesday, June 1, the mobility passes of all those who have not received their third dose, that is, the first booster dose, would be blocked.

As he warned, when the day came, the Minsal blocked 1,985,744 mobility passes for people over 18 years of age. This was reported during the televised assessment of the pandemic by the Minister of Health, María Begoña Yarza.

However, as of today, Friday, June 3, there are 1,734,546 people behind on their second booster dose, which means that 251,198 people were vaccinated, while there are another 880,707 people behind on their third dose.

In the instance, the minister recalled that these are dynamic figures in the process where the interest of the Minsal lies in that all people have their effective vaccination. “That everyone has a current vaccine in the next six months,” Yarza said.

Throughout these weeks, the portfolio has reinforced access to vaccination, with more than 1,220 inoculation points throughout the country, which has been added to extensions of hours and operations in workplaces.
