Consternation in the municipality of Aguachica, in the department of Cesar, led to the murder of a family made up of four peoplewhen they were in a renowned restaurant on Calle 5 and Carrera 30, in events that occurred this Sunday, December 29, 2024.
According to preliminary information, Two subjects aboard a motorcycle arrived at the place where the family was. The incident was recorded on security cameras that are in the hands of the authorities to identify those responsible.

The victims were identified as the evangelical pastor, Marlon Yamith Lora, his wife Yuraly Rincón, and their children Ángela Natalia and Santiago Lora, who was referred to a Cesar clinic where he died minutes later due to the severity of his injuries.
It was known that Ángela Lora worked as a social communicator for the Aguachica public services companywhile Santiago Lora was a cameraman from the political campaign to the current one mayor of that municipality, Greysi Roqueme.

“This violent act, perpetrated at close range and in broad daylight, is a reflection of the lack of respect for life and human dignity.” that we cannot tolerate. The Lora Rincón family was a pillar of our community,” reads a statement from the municipal administration.
The authorities of Aguachica and the department of Cesar urged the other institutions to investigate quickly to capture those responsible that ended the life of this respectful and beloved family in that town.
According to the Institute of Development and Peace Studies (Indepaz), this is the third massacre that has occurred in the department of Cesar, so far in 2024.
