The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, affirmed this Sunday, before the agreement with the IMF that had the sanction of that legislative body, that “the only important thing is to give Argentines peace of mind.”
He also stated that this agreement “It is not the ceiling but the floor from which development policies must be built”, since “it establishes that, to start paying, you can first grow”.
In this regard, Massa highlighted “the peace of mind of continuing to have pre-financing for exports because it represents selling Argentine work to the world, maintaining margin in our financial system so that there is credit for people and moving forward without having to cut rights to those who work and retirees” .
The president of the lower house told Télam that “The agreement is not the ceiling, it is the floor from which we have to build development policies.” Thus, it representsthe peace of mind of advancing in an agreement that establishes that, to start paying, we can first grow”.
“The only important thing is to give the Argentines peace of mind,” he said.
The project that guarantees the agreement with the International Monetary Fund for the debt received on Friday the sanction of the Chamber of Deputies, which turned it over to the Senate for treatment.
Massa added that “Just as we built a great agreement to start solving this problem, we have to build a great agreement to build laws.”
“Promote construction with the law that is pending, which is going to generate 140,000 new jobs, promote the agribusiness law that will generate incentives to increase our exports by 40%. And promote the technological economy that is what allows us to sell to the world the talent and the work of our young people. In short: sell Argentine work to the world,” he added.
Regarding the rise in prices, the legislator considered that there is “the obligation to solve the inflationary problem” and emphasized that “there can be no more excuses” for it.
