The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, led the signing of agreements with the Government of Santiago del Estero to build an environmental center for waste treatment, the improvement of the La Banda Industrial Park, and financing for the “Argentina 4.0” initiative to train programmers in the province.

“Today there are 60 companies (in the Industrial Park) and we are investing in connectivity, lighting, infrastructure because a well-ordered and planned economy generates more productivity and better results for Santiago”assured Minister Massa.

The minister stressed that what is sought “With the financing of the Argentina 4.0 programmers program, that talent will be multiplied by thousands” and that “start ups” will be generated in the future.

In addition, the head of Economy signed an agreement for the construction of the Environmental Center of Santiago del Estero-La Banda, which will be responsible for treating the waste of 60% of the province’s population.

On the other hand, an agreement was signed by which the Ministry of Industry and Productive Development will grant a Non-Reimbursable Contribution (ANR) of more than $57 million, for the “enhancement of La Isla Industrial Park”.

In this framework, Massa confirmed that “starting next month, workers who earn up to $330,000 will not pay earnings” and stressed that the measure will allow “almost 380,000 Argentine workers not to lose what they earned at work.”

“In addition to stabilizing the macro, we have the challenge of taking care of the pockets of Argentines. We have just raised the decree that raises the floor of the non-taxable minimum, through which workers who earn up to $ 330,000 thousand from November will not pay earnings, “added Massa.

Also participating in the event Governor Gerardo Zamora; the Deputy Minister of the Environment, Sergio Federovisky; the Secretary of Energy, Flavia Royón; and the Secretary of Industry and Productive Development, José Ignacio de Mendiguren.

On the occasion, Mendiguren highlighted that “the installed capacity of the industry is at almost record levels and in the industrial parks it is above 72%”.

“In addition to strategic loans for SMEs, in the coming days we are going to announce measures to continue supporting this level of activity. Industrial parks are very important to improve productivity,” he added.

The Deputy Minister of the Environment, Sergio Federovisky, also signed an agreement with Governor Zamora, in a ceremony that took place at the Bicentennial Cultural Center (CCB), for which the Nation provides 150 million for the Environmental Management plan. Fire and tools to fight fires.

In this aspect, Massa, indicated that “federalism is not exercised with words, but with investment and today it is investing in the Fire Management plan to sustain the brigadista scheme.”

Also to “sustain the province’s investment, it is investing in waste treatment plants, which represent 60% of the garbage generated in Santiago del Estero, taking it to the circular economy,” he added.

“We are launching an investment of almost US$20 million in a US$500 million line, which is to improve the electricity service for more than 200,000 people from Santiago and in addition to giving the possibility of connecting 3,500 new homes and 169 new industries. of the province”, pointed out Massa.

“For us it is really an important day, in which we come to work together with the governor and the mayors with our economic team,” said the minister.

He also highlighted in this regard that the province has adequate financial management, without debts and that is why it is important to “reward those provinces that do things well” such as Santiago del Estero and in this way the sum of US$20 million was assigned to the work of the transformer station La Guarida, but that the gas pipeline to Loreto is also being managed.

“We come to give back because in this challenge of trying to generate investment, to stop inflation, we need to have the counterpart of the governors. The Government of Santiago is thinking about the future, it is worth coming to visit them and investing resources from the national State in a province that invests them well,” he declared.

For his part, Zamora highlighted the importance of the agreements and announcements made with the national government and thanked Minister Massa for his work with Santiago del Estero.

Zamora highlighted the “strong decision of the national government to stabilize the economy that is suffering a collapse and serious inflation problems throughout the world, the producer first of the pandemic and then of the war.”

“We are a province that works so that the development we have and the growth that we are having, and that we consolidate, is with sustainable development and that implies something that we have defined, which is to take care of our forest reserves, which are part of the main reserves of our country” Zamora maintained.

“On the energy issue, we have been one of the provinces that have invested the most over these years, we have practically ringed the high voltage system in the 132 network and we have eliminated the isolated generations that existed in the province and also gradually disconnected from some lines from neighboring provinces that do not have sufficient capacity for what Santiago del Estero consumes today,” he said.

Zamora announced that in December, January, February and March, people from Santiago will have a one-third discount on the electricity bill of residential users, taking into account that these are the months with the highest consumption due to high temperatures.

The Santiago president indicated that next year the second lithium battery plant in the country will be installed in the area of ​​the Technological Node, since the first will be in La Plata.

For this, they are working with specialists from La Plata and the National University of Santiago del Estero so that “this lithium battery plant in Santiago del Estero is 100% Argentine.”

In the same sense, he highlighted the growth that this province had in terms of exports and its position as the country’s sixth exporter, since “in the last year, over 1,300 million dollars of exports, which puts us at the head of northern Argentina, It also adds that we have been the 6th province of 23 plus a city, which has had a positive trade balance in dollars”.
