The Court decides on the co-participation for the City and makes the deputies swear in

Martínez: “The Court invades competences of other powers”

Martínez: “The Supreme Court of Justice is invading the territory, land and powers of other powers.”

The National deputy and president of the Frente de Todos (FdT) bloc, German MartinezI consider that impeachment of the Supreme Court of Justicepromoted by President Alberto Fernández and several governors, is motivated by the conduct shown the highest court, which “invades the powers of other powers”.

The Supreme Court of Justice is invading the territory, land and jurisdiction of other powers and the rule of law in Argentina,” said Martínez this Saturday in statements to Radio 10

For the legislator from Santa Fe, “Together for Change demonstrates the lack of unity and action on an issue of these characteristics.”

“I think the process that is being opened is so sensitive that we have to be very serious and institutionally respectful, many arguments and few Chicanas,” he said.

The President and governors agreed on Tuesday to jointly promote the impeachment of the four members of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, accusing them of “poor performance of their duties” and “manifest partiality” when issuing rulings.

The request for impeachment is based on the invasion that it carries out on powers that belong to other powers of Argentina, assured Martínez.
“The request for impeachment is based on the invasion that it carries out on powers that belong to other powers in Argentina,” said Martínez.

Fernández handed over to the Chamber of Deputies on Wednesday the request for impeachment against the Supreme Court that he is promoting together with governors and asked for their “prompt legislative treatment” of Martínez and the president of the Impeachment Commission, Carolina Gaillard.

“We are not discussing whether I like any member of the Court more or less, the request for impeachment is based on the invasion that it carries out on powers that belong to other powers in Argentina,” he stressed.

He also recalled that the Court’s decision to declare the 2006 Judicial Council law unconstitutional caused “absolute paralysis” and “paralyzed the election of federal judges.”

“Here there is no question of whether I like it or not, here there is a performance problem,” Martínez closed.
