He National Penitentiary Institute (INPE) declared void the classification of inmates held on August 14 that he had considered sending Martín Vizcarra to the Barbadillo Fundo, in ATE, where they comply with other ex -presidents.
The entity said that there were irregularities in the classification process and that, in addition, Vizcarra did not comply with the provisions of Directive 006-2023 INPE.
For this reason, a new classification meeting has been formed, composed of three officials, who will have the task of defining in the next hours in which penal RPP.
As recalled, the former president faces this measure after the decision of the Judiciary, who considered that there is procedural danger and risk of escape, in addition to a questionable behavior in his role as investigated.
According to the fiscal thesis, when he was regional governor of Moquegua, the former president would have received 2.3 million soles in bribes from the companies ICCGSA and Obraininsa, in order to award them the projects “Lomas de Ilo” and the Hospital de Moquegua.
