The Supervisory Commission meets this Tuesday, November 29 with the assistance of the former president Martin Vizcarrawho is being investigated for alleged irregular purchases in the framework of the COVID-19 health emergency during his administration.

The committee chaired by Congressman Hector Ventura (Popular Force) will seek to obtain the testimony of Vizcarra Cornejo for the investigation regarding the facts related to the pandemic since Supreme Decree 008-2020-SA entered into force until July 26, 2021.
In this sense, they analyze the “existence or not of presumed negligent or willful conduct caused by irregular, improper or negligent behavior on the part of senior officials, authorities and/or public servants, natural and/or legal persons” in which they would have incurred due to the management of the health emergency, which left thousands of deaths in our country.
Last November 23, Martin Vizcarra He was summoned to attend a session of this group, but he did not attend because he was on a trip to the interior of the country. Faced with this, they approved quoting it forcefully.
“He was not cited once, not twice. There were five summonses that were made to former President Martín Vizcarra, showing little interest in collaborating with the investigation of the Oversight Commission. Today we approve citing it by degree or force”, Ventura Angel explained after the decision adopted by the Oversight Commission last Wednesday.
