Martín Vizcarra: Accusations subcommission admits constitutional complaint against him for crimes of corruption

The subcommission of constitutional accusations (SAC) of the Congress admitted to process the constitutional complaint made by the head of the Public Ministry, Delia Espinoza, against the former president Martín Vizcarra for the alleged crimes of instigation and simple and aggravated collusion.

The SAC report, which declares the complaint, must now be elevated to the Permanent Commission of the Legislative that must, according to regulations, set a period not exceeding 15 days for the subcommission to investigate the case and present its final report.

According to the document approved unanimously – 13 votes -, the former president “designated Edmer Trujillo as a minister of transport and communications” in order to intervene in three processes of contracting of said portfolio and provías and favoring the company Casa Sa

“Vizcarra, indirectly, had an illegal agreement with said construction club company for the delivery of US $ 100,000 to the Peruvian campaign for the Kambio” in exchange for being favored with a tender.

Last March, the Prosecutor’s Office raided the homes of Martín Vizcarra and Edmer Trujillo in Lima and Moquegua in the framework of their investigations to the alleged criminal network that the former president ‘the untouchables of corruption’ would lead.

The diligence was directed by the illicit enrichment team and constitutional complaints of the Public Ministry.
