When commemorating March 11, the 44th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Revolutionary Party yesterday, former President Martín Torrijos congratulated all the Torrijistas in the country.
“I congratulate all the torrijistas in the country; very especially to its founders who, with their heritage of struggles and commitment to the homeland, are an example of loyalty and fidelity, ”Torrijos said in a message through his social networks.
Former President Torrijos stressed that General Omar Torrijos Herrera is a permanent guide of ideas for action and an inspiration for the challenges of the present.
He stressed that his contribution to the integration of the country, full sovereignty and that the Canal is exclusively in Panamanian hands is extraordinary.
“With Omar Torrijos, those who were born and died without hope, those incommunicado, those who did not know the light, forgotten and who were annihilated by hunger, regained hope,” Torrijos said.
Omar’s ideology points out to all Torrijistas that we have to do everything in our power for a Panama without misery and with opportunities, with dignity and decency, with honesty and without corruption, he concluded.
