Martín Torrijos promises to eliminate any type of political influence in the distribution of scholarships

“We are going to make education the mechanism of social mobility so that young people can achieve their dreams,” former president and presidential candidate Martín Torrijos told a group of young people.

He assured that “my commitment to you will be to eliminate any type of political influence in the distribution of scholarships.”

In addition, he said that his government will guarantee that these scholarships are awarded based on merit and the real needs of the students, without privileges or corruption.
