“Martí (Batres) and I are seeing how he is going to help me. I will tell you later, yes, he is going to come work with me,” said the next president of Mexico.
Claudia Sheinbaum announced that next week she will announce a good part of the members of her expanded Cabinet that she has yet to announce, including the position that Martí Batres will occupy.
He said he does not rule out the possibility of holding more days of conferences and not just the Thursdays that he uses to present his Cabinet.
“Next week, there are not so many Thursdays left, so I will present the Cabinet every day, if not all together,” he explained.
Martí Batres assumed the position of Head of Government of Mexico City in June 2023, when Sheinbaum left office to seek the Presidency of the Republic.
This Thursday, Claudia Sheinbaum also met with executives from the Goldman Sachs firm. She said that this meeting was about getting closer to the businessmen, who expressed their confidence in investing in Mexico.
