The linguist and former parliamentarian martha hildebrandt passed away on Thursday, December 8 at the age of 97 at his home in miraflores. His death was confirmed by authorities of that municipality who arrived at that place to provide him with medical attention.
“At approximately 2:00 p.m., a call was received at the Miraflores de Serenazgo alert center, requesting the support and presence of paramedics. […] When the staff arrived, Mrs. Martha Hildebrandt had already died,” said Abdul Miranda, manager of Miraflores Citizen Security, to Canal N.
The official pointed out that the family of the former president of Congress has asked that respect be respected for her death. “We have spoken with the relatives and they ask for the maximum of privacy and respect,” he added. He also indicated that he did not know the causes of her death.
Sources from La República indicated that the Miraflores municipality will not issue more information for the moment and that the family has requested that the case be reserved.
Congress expresses condolences to relatives of Martha Hildebrandt
Through its social networks, the Congress of the Republic expressed its condolences to the family of the renowned linguist, Martha Hildebrandt, who passed away at the age of 97.
Hildebrandt Pérez Treviño was a congressman of the Republic in four continuous periods, from 1995 to 2011. She even became the head of Parliament in 1999, being the second woman to reach the presidency, only after Martha Chávez.
