The Attorney General of Venezuela confirmed on Monday the arrest of the NGO activist, Martha Grajales and indicated that she will be accused of the crimes of “hatred incitement”, “conspiracy with foreign government” and “association.”
“The citizen Martha Lía Grajales was presented and charged in the period of law after having requested order of apprehension against her for actions against the Venezuelan institutions and the peace of the Republic,” said the institution on Instagram.
“The Public Ministry as guarantor of justice and human rights will ensure compliance with the guarantees to the due process that enshrines the Constitution,” the message concludes.
