At the Cusco Terrestrial Terminal, the identification and dismantling of an alleged criminal gang that operated under the ‘pepeo’ modality, made up of a married couple and a 16-year-old minor, all from Juliaca, was achieved.
The intervention took place when the operating personnel of the land terminal, identified two people, who were under the influence of the substances that they were offered in a drinkproceeding to provide them with assistance and report the incident to the local police detachment.
With the support of the video surveillance cameras, the search and capture deployment was launched, managing to frustrate the escape of the criminals. In images it is evident how the woman who would be part of the criminal gang, she rushes out of the compound when she is exposed, desperately boards a taxihowever, she is arrested, on the other hand, the capture of the man with the support of the Police is evidenced, both were arrested and taken into custody.
“The terminal staff carry out control rounds, there are also more than a dozen cameras installed throughout the premises to monitor 24 hours. Likewise, we have a police detachment to act immediately on any report. With all these prevention and dissuasion mechanisms, we guarantee safety for users and passengers”said the director of the Cusco Terrestrial Terminal, Tomás Lobatón.
Similarly, in said terminal the eradication of the so-called ‘pullers’ is promoted that alternate the order and tranquility of the passengers. The detainees were transferred to the police station in the area for the corresponding legal actions.
