Marrero Cruz boasts “strategy” while Cuba survives in the dark

Cuba, apagones, Marrero Cruz

In the middle of the fifth general blackout in Cuba so far this year, the prime minister asked for “trust” from the people.

Madrid, Spain.- instead of offering a specific solution to the national blackout that keeps almost all Cuba without electricity for one day, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz He resorted to the usual empty promises of the regime. The official assured on television and social networks that the electrical service would be restored as soon as possible, calling the population to trust the authorities.

Marrero spoke of the recovery of about 500 megawatts and the start of several units, in addition to the alleged “well -defined strategy” to face the situation.

“I have the confidence in the UNE workers and in which it is going to be done in the minimum time and that the earliest we can restore to become negative experience. A big hug and confidence, that we are doing everything possible to restore the service,” said Marrero Cruz from the national office of loads.

However, in practice, much of the country remains without electricity, with serious consequences in hospitals, water supply, transport, telecommunications and food conservation.

Citizens of all provinces report to be dark for more than a day, questioning the parts of the electricity union and denouncing the lack of transparency in the management of the crisis.

The total disconnection, which originated after the exit of the thermoelectric plant from Matanzas, has left the country in a new collapse of the National Electric System (SEN). It is the fifth general blackout in less than a year and reveals the failure of the Cuban energy model, sustained with patches and propaganda.

The regime insists on asking for patience and trust, but repeated blackouts, the obsolescence of thermoelectric plants and the lack of investment in energy infrastructure show that the problem is structural. Meanwhile, Marrero limits himself to repeating slogans that no one believes, in an attempt desperate to sustain an official narrative disconnected from the reality of the population.
