The Spanish-Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa congratulated this Monday in Madrid to Gustavo Petrowhich, after his victory on Sunday, will be the Colombia’s first leftist presidentbut expressed his wish that his mandate be “an amendable and correctable accident“.

“Hopefully Colombia remains within the strict legality that has characterized Colombian historyand it is simply an accident that can be mended and corrected in the more or less immediate future”, affirmed the author of “La Fiesta del Chivo” or “The War of the End of the World”.
