Marina unveils statue in honor of ‘Frida’, rescue dog

“Frida has not only motivated us to act as women and men of the sea, she has also given hope to thousands of Mexican families in the most pressing moments.”

She emphasized that this space should serve to honor Frida’s life, but also as a reminder of what she has symbolized.

In the ceremony, the life of the Labrador canine was narrated; Likewise, a video with his trajectory was projected, after which said sculpture was unveiled within the facilities of the Secretary of the Navy.

Frida collaborated with rescue efforts in the earthquake in Haiti, the explosion of the Pemex Tower in 2013, and the earthquakes of September 7 and 19, 2017.
