The Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, was hospitalized this Wednesday afternoon (3), in Brasília, after feeling sudden pain in the lower back.while moving potted plants in the garden of his residence, informed the ministry’s press office. She is on vacation this week.
After being treated at a private hospital in the capital, and undergoing a computed tomography, the minister was diagnosed with a “slight fracture of the L4 vertebra”.
According to the MMA, no hospitalization was necessary.
“She was treated for pain control, feels well and will be discharged today. According to medical guidelines, the minister will need to stay away from face-to-face activities in the coming weeks, but will be able to continue working remotely during this period”, informed the ministry’s press office.
